These terms are an agreement between you and Cini (“we”, “us”) covering your use of the Cini iOS app and website. By creating an account or using Cini, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, don’t use Cini.
You must be at least 13 years old. You’re responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. One account per person; don’t impersonate anyone.
You own what you post — rankings, notes, comments, lists, and your profile. By posting publicly on Cini, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content within the service (that’s what makes it visible to other members). Personal notes stay private to you. You can delete your content, or your whole account, at any time.
Cini is for talking about movies. There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. You agree not to post content that is harassing, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, illegal, spam, or that infringes someone else’s rights — and not to use Cini to stalk, dox, or abuse others.
Every public note, comment, and profile can be reported in the app, and any member can be blocked, which hides you from each other entirely. We review reports promptly — typically within 24 hours — and will remove content and eject users who break these rules.
Movie titles, artwork, and streaming availability come from TMDB; this product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Theater showtimes come from Gracenote. Links to streaming services and ticket sellers take you to those companies’ sites and apps — their terms apply there, and we aren’t responsible for their content or pricing.
Don’t scrape, reverse-engineer, overload, or attempt to break the service; don’t access other members’ data beyond what the app shows you; don’t use Cini for anything unlawful.
You can stop using Cini and delete your account anytime in Profile → Settings → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice.
Cini is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. Scores and predictions reflect your own rankings and our algorithms — they’re for fun, not guarantees you’ll like a movie. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to $50.
We may update these terms as Cini evolves; we’ll update the date above and, for meaningful changes, note it in the app. Continuing to use Cini after a change means you accept the updated terms.
